Micky’s Ramblings
By Micky Miller
Special to Gig
Well I just got back from Missouri. I went home for the holidays. Good times, Good times. I stopped by Blazers while I was there to see Dana and have a few drinks. She fed us some really good food. One of the great things about getting to travel a lot is that I get to hang out in a lot of cool bars and listen to a lot of good music all over the U.S. There are so many talented musicians out there.
Speaking of talented musicians Tesla is coming to Chinook Winds Casino and Resort in Lincoln City on February 5th and 6th. I can’t wait, I know it is going to be an awesome show. They will be rockin’ their latest album Forever More. Some of their songs include Breakin’ Free, Fallin’ Apart, Love Song, and Signs. There are a lot of bands I grew up with who are out rockin’ like; The Sweet (Ballroom Blitz, Fox on the Run) and L.A. Guns (The Ballad of Jayne, Rip and Tear) to name a few. If you get the chance I recommend checking them out.
I know a lot of musicians are helping out with the tragedy in Haiti. If you can give, every little bit helps.
Soon it will be spring again and that means festivals, rallies, outside concerts, and finally more daylight. I am definitely looking forward to it. Well I guess I will have me some Polk Salad Annie and call it a day.
Peace, Love, and Music.
